UltimateBet COO Paul Leggett posted the following on the UB Blog today:

Earlier today we learned about a poker hand where our system paid out the losing player instead of the correct winning hand. The hand number is #1162170993.

We are investigating this software malfunction as our absolute top priority.

This is the first incident of this kind we have encountered.

We are currently examining the poker system and the application logs in order to pinpoint the cause of this malfunction.

OMG!!! Is this for real??? Some of the hand details dont seem to work, like raises $800 to $800...

Seems like someone tried to make up hand details...

But geez...this is cereusly gross if it's true...

The bet amounts all work out in the HH. In the new format, it says "RAISE X" where X is the amount of the total bet minus the amount that player already has in the pot.

All accounts are that this is a valid HH, consistent with the way the hand played out.
